PCKS-EA
PoE Powered 10/100M IP Camera / IP Device Kill Switch
Description
The PCKS-EA is a specialized device designed to enhance privacy and confidentiality by interrupting the power supply and data transmission of PoE IP cameras. It is ideal for use in sensitive environments such as interview rooms, interrogation rooms, hospital rooms, and patient examination rooms.
This device supports 10/100M Ethernet data rates and functions by mechanically breaking data lines 1, 2, 3, and 6 using relays. The PCKS-EA is installed in-line with the camera’s CAT5 Ethernet cable and is controlled by either the RRSG rocker switch plate or RKSG key switch plate.
When the switch is in the ‘on’ position, an LED on the RxGP is illuminated, indicating that the camera is connected to the network. In the ‘off’ position, the camera is completely disconnected. The switch connects to the PCKS-EA via a user-supplied 3-conductor cable, offering a reliable and secure solution for managing camera functionality in critical areas.
