EDKS-4
4 Channel PoE IP Device Kill Switch
Description
The EDKS-4 is a versatile solution designed to interrupt both power and data streaming for up to four IP cameras or other Ethernet-connected devices. Supporting 10/100M Ethernet data rates, the EDKS-4 operates by mechanically making or breaking data lines 1, 2, 3, and 6 via relays. This device is installed in-line with the CAT5 Ethernet cables of the connected devices, making it ideal for environments requiring enhanced privacy and security, such as interview rooms, interrogation rooms, and sensitive medical areas.
Controlled by applying or removing a 12-15VDC power source, the EDKS-4 can be triggered by a wall-mounted switch or any external device providing a 12-15VDC, 100mA power output. This provides flexible control over the cameras or other Ethernet devices connected to the system.
Available Versions:
- EDKS-4-VD: Applying 12-15VDC disables the connected cameras.
- EDKS-4-VE: Applying 12-15VDC enables the connected cameras.
The EDKS-4 is a dependable and scalable solution for managing multiple IP cameras or devices, offering enhanced privacy control in environments where discretion is critical.
